அன்பு நண்பர்களுக்கு

வணக்கம்.

இன்று என்னுடைய நண்பர் செல்வராஜன் தமிழ்ப் பள்ளிகள் குறித்து  அக்கறை பொதிந்த ஒரு மின்னஞ்சல் அனுப்பி இருக்கிறார்.  அவருக்கு என் நனறி.

செல்வராஜன் ஒரு சுற்றுச்சூழல் ஆர்வலர்.  கானுயிர்கள் மீது அளப்பரிய அக்கறை கொண்டவர்.  தமிழகத்தில் வங்கி அதிகாரியாகப பணியாற்றியபோது நிறைய தொண்டு புரிந்து இருக்கிறார்.   டெல்லியில் கிரின் சர்க்கிள் என்ற சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி நிறைய நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிறார்.   அவருடைய அமைப்புக்காக ஜனக்புரி தமிழ்ப் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு வீதி நாடகப் ப்யிற்சி அளித்தேன்.  மாணவர்கள் தயாரித்த இரு நாடகங்களை மேற்கு டெல்லி கிராமங்களிலும் திஹார் சிறையிலும் நடத்தினோம்.  நண்பர்கள் ஒத்துழைப்பு அதிகம் கிடைக்காததால் கிரீன் சர்க்கிள் இப்போது சற்று ஓய்வு எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

செல்வராஜன் சொல்லி இருக்கும் பல விஷயங்கள் நம்முடைய கவனிப்பை ஈர்க்கும் தன்மை கொண்டவை.  அவருடைய இந்தக் கடிதம் சுமந்திருக்கும் செய்திகள் பல. 

தமிழ்ப் பள்ளிகளின் பெற்றோர்களும் ஆசிரியர்களும் தீவிரமாக யோசிக்க வேண்டிய விஷயங்களை சர்வ சாதாரணமாக சொல்லியிருக்கிறார் செல்வராஜன்.  அவருக்கு என்னுடைய நன்றி.

A recent paper insertion was a cultural shock for me.

This IIT JEE training school is giving a package for 5th Standard students to prepare for the entrance exams.

How mad the world is. What does a 9 year old child know about CAT or IIT JEE. Strange and disheartening!

When this is the case, how can we expect that the 'crazy and self centered' parents will do something about the deteriorating standards of a 100 year old organisation.

One solution which I had been thinking quite often is to corporatise the management. If only professionals take over and bring some radical change, DTEA could be saved. But it needs everyone's willingness.

Why not you open a lobby in your magazine to unite the like minded people to bring some change.
